Hi my name is Abiff Salcedo, I'm 34 years old i had to make a decision between being comfortable with the way i was and prone to a lot of health issues or losing weight and feeling great about myself. So i contacted Christi @ successfully slimmer. She was very helpfully on explaining the different kind of weight loss surgeries, guided me through the process and always willing to assist me and answer any questions i had. I still till this day contact Christi and ask questions or just to say hi and let her know how I'm doing.

Well to the juicy part LOL.... I went to Jerusalem Hospital in Tijuana Mexico decided to use Dr. Mario Almanza for the gastric sleeve. I was amazed on the quality and services that they provided, the staff was always attentive to all my needs. Surgery itself was not bad at all. No pain, but yes a small discomfort because of the gas. The guest house is great, you’re well taken care of and it was an advantage because you not only get to recover in a nice house but meet people just like you and make friends at the same time. Well as for my stats… i went in for surgery at 375lbs 60 inch waist. It has been 6 months and I'm now 265 and 44 inch waist for a total of 110 lbs weight loss already... I'm very happy with the decision I’ve made. I'm more active and feel much better about myself (healthy-er). I want to thank Christi my coordinator for being there for every step of the way and Dr. Almanza for helping me become in a better state of health, both physically and emotionally.

I’m a gastric sleeve patient. Before my surgery I was 155 pounds, yes it might look like a small number compare to other people’s weight but I’m only 4”11. It was not vanity, it was more than that to me. I didn’t feel comfortable with my weight, I felt depressed, I tried about anything and I would not loose the weight. Especially after having my son. Out of all the surgeries the gastric sleeve felt it was the correct surgery for me =) I did all my researching till I found Christi =) she answered aaaallll of my questions and I mean aaaallll I asked about anything u can think of and she always was there to answer each and every one of them. The surgery it self was NOT painful I think the only uncomfortable thing was the constant burping the first two weeks, and maybe not being able to gulp on water. (Which I’m now able to do) =) but as far as bruising or anything else there was no pain =) I was back to work in 1 week. =) I can honestly say I made the right choice, both on the hospital I chose and Christi who’s the best! I absolutely have NO complains what so ever! NONE! Now I’m 115 Pounds and feel GREAT. I’m actually lighter than when I was in high school =) Now I’m able to eat more food not having to worry about gaining that weight back =) and the best part of all I get to eat all of my favorite foods!!!

I want to let everyone know who is considering this surgery and Dr Kelly of how pleased I am. I decided to have VSG surgery after attempting every diet and diet pills. I was having knee pain, shortness of breath, and was very depressed about my weight. I researched so much and decided on Successfully Slimmer and Dr Kelly. It was a blessing to find them. Otherwise I would have had to wait another year to be able to afford the surgery. Let me say treatment I received from hospital staff and by Dr. Kelly was much, much more than what I expected. He was very knowledgeable and did a great job as my surgery went well and my scars were so tiny. Today I’m 4 months post-op and I’m at goal and at a healthy weight. Hi, i am 46 years old and have been very overweight since my childhood. at age 21 i developed high blood pressure and have been on medication ever since. i moved to Saskatoon, Canada about 10 years ago. due to cold weather i started to gain even more weight because of inactivity and lethargy. 2 years ago i developed type 2 diabetes and started to take medications for that. my weight went up to 361 pounds and i developed severe depression. i was totally miserable and sleepy all day due to sleep apnea.
one day i was reading about obesity surgery and an ad pop up about jerusalem hospital. i filled out the form just for the information purpose and next day Christi Bearden called me. up until that day i was not serious about any surgery. she explained me all the process and i reluctantly agreed. my surgery was on Jan. 11th 2011 and i went there in Tijuana one day earlier. everything went very smooth. i also enjoyed the mexican nice weather. i flew back exactly five days after surgery, no pain, no complications and within one month i lost 70 pounds. i still got 100 pounds to lose.
2 weeks ago my doctor here in Saskatoon got me off my diabetes medications. my sleep apnea is gone and blood pressure is controlled with one tablet only.
Christi Bearden was very helpful all throughout this process and i can still ask her any questions i have. i highly recommend her and i am glad i chose my surgery through her.

I just wanted to thank you for the extra care taken and concern showed during my stay at the Medical Center to get my Lap Band procedure on June 8, 2009. My every need was satisfied and the level of service was OUTSTANDING!!

The day after surgery, you both were around to answer our questions, check x-rays and to see that we were progressing. We saw you at least 4 times that day. I especially enjoyed the time spent at the spa and shopping.

You offered your home for recuperation instead of the standard hotel. Well, that made us feel as if we were on a Spa Vacation! The other patients and I, were very comfortable were able to meet in the dining room to share our brand new Lap Band experiences.

I am looking forward to my next visit to come for a free refill and to learn more about living with a Lap Band. I am so glad that I chose Dr. Reyes to be my surgeon.

I had surgery 5 months ago and am happy to report I’m doing very well. I was very nervous about going to Mexico alone for surgery, but the whole staff made it so much easier for me. I was so happy that I had someone to pick me up at the airport, drive me around, and make sure I had everything I needed. It’s only been 6 weeks since my VSG surgery. I wanted to email you to tell you thanks. I didn't know what to expect when I got on the plane, but you guys really delivered what you promised. I met both surgeons and they were both so caring and made me feel comfortable. I thought it was especially nice that I had an English speaking facilitator to take us shopping and show us some sights. That was a nice touch. By the way, I've lost 18 lbs already!

Thanks to Successfully Slimmer I was able to afford the surgery to get my life back! My insurance company excludes all types of bariatric surgery. With a limited budget, I set out to find a good surgeon that I could afford. Successfully Slimmer put me in touch with my surgeon.
